Specialty Coffee Beans Online: Fresh Coffee from European Roasters
Holy Sip is a Swedish webshop with specialty coffee. We stock over 130 coffees from more than ten partner roasters across Europe, plus the gear to brew them well. Order today and we pack it fast, usually within 24 hours on business days.
Choosing a coffee should not feel like a lottery, so each coffee comes with the details that matter: origin, region, altitude, process and flavour profile. Know what you like? Filter by origin, roast or brew method. No idea yet? Grab a starter pack or a coffee set and let your taste buds do the research.
Our partners at GRINGO Nordic, Coffee Collective, DAK, Ditta, La Cabra, Heresy, Tanat, Nomad, Spojka, HAYB, COFFEELAB, COFFEE PLANT and Coffee & Sons do the roasting. We do the picking, the packing and the fussing over freshness.
You can browse our coffees by:
- origin: Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia or Brazil,
- roast level: light, medium or dark,
- brew method, from V60 to espresso machine,
- decaf and low caf, for the cup after dinner,
- a coffee subscription, for fresh beans on repeat.
Specialty coffee online: how to find one you'll love
Specialty coffee scores 80 points or more on the 100-point scale of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Trained tasters judge things like flavour, acidity, sweetness and aftertaste, and coffee below the line stays out. In practice that means cleaner flavours, a clear origin story and no mystery blend of whatever was cheapest that week.
Not sure where to start? Origin is a good shortcut:
- Ethiopia: floral, tea-like and fruity.
- Kenya: bright and juicy, with lively acidity (in coffee, that is the fresh, sparkling side of flavour, like a crisp apple).
- Colombia: balanced and sweet, with caramel and fruit.
- Brazil: soft, nutty and chocolatey, low in acidity.
Still stuck? Our guide to why coffee tastes bitter, sour or sweet helps you work out what you like. A subscription, see below, can also do the picking for you.
Whole bean coffee for filter, espresso and everything in between
Filter and espresso want different things. For filter brewing, lighter roasts show off fruit, flowers and sweetness. Espresso machines and moka pots like coffee that handles pressure and heat, usually a little deeper and more chocolatey. Our brew method pages sort the shelf for you: AeroPress, Chemex, Clever Dripper, moka pot and fully automatic espresso machines. Want one bag that does it all? Look for an omniroast, a roast that works for both filter and espresso.
Most of our coffees are sold as whole beans. They stay fresh longer, and grinding just before brewing makes a bigger difference than most gadgets. We do not grind to order, so if you need a grinder, we stock hand grinders from Hario, Timemore and Comandante. Wondering how fine to grind? Our grind size guide covers V60, moka pot, AeroPress and espresso.
Coffee subscription: fresh specialty beans on repeat
Found a coffee you love? Put it on repeat. We offer two kinds of coffee subscription, and you can combine them.
The Usual Subscription is for favourites. Pick coffees from the permanent range of HAYB, COFFEELAB, COFFEE PLANT and GRINGO Nordic, and get them every 2 or 4 weeks at a lower price than a one-off purchase. See all coffees you can subscribe to.
The Holy Sip-scription is for people who like surprises. You choose how much coffee you want (2 to 6 bags per pack) and whether it is filter, espresso or a mix. Then we pick. Everyday Sip draws from a pool of 30 easy-to-love everyday coffees. Unlimited Sip draws from our whole range, including rare microlots (tiny batches from a single farm or plot) and limited editions. Tell us a flavour you like and we will keep it in mind, or choose Surprise me and see what lands in the box.
Skip a delivery, pause or cancel any time in your account, with no minimum term. All subscription coffee comes as whole beans, and coffees in The Holy Sip-scription ship no more than 6 weeks after roasting. Want the details? The subscription FAQ has them.

What is Holy Sip?
Holy Sip is a Swedish webshop with specialty coffee. We work with more than ten partner roasters and pick the coffees we think are worth your money. We also sell brewing gear and write guides, so you get more out of every bag. We do not roast ourselves, so we can choose from many roasters instead of pushing one house style.
Which coffee should I choose if I am just starting out?
Start with your brewer. Filter brewer (V60, Chemex, AeroPress, Clever Dripper)? Choose a coffee from the filter range. Espresso machine or moka pot? Choose espresso. A medium roast from Colombia or Brazil is hard to get wrong for a first order, and a starter pack or coffee set lets you try several styles at once. Our beginner's guide to brewing at home shows what you need.
Is your coffee fresh?
We try to keep the freshest coffees in stock. A few bags may stay with us a little longer, but we take care that our coffee is always fresh. Coffees in The Holy Sip-scription ship no more than 6 weeks after roasting. Once the bag is at home, specialty coffee keeps its flavour for months when stored sealed, cool and dark. Our storage guide has the details.
What is the difference between specialty coffee and regular supermarket coffee?
Specialty coffee scores 80 points or more on the SCA 100-point scale, judged by trained tasters. Supermarket coffee is often a blend of beans from several countries, with little information about where it comes from. Specialty coffee is traceable, often down to the farm, and roasted to bring out the flavour of the bean. You taste that as sweetness, fruit and clarity. Our guide to the 80-point rule explains the scoring.
Do you help with choosing coffee and brewing gear?
Yes. Write to us at hej@savorygrocer.shop or use the contact form and tell us how you brew and what you like. We normally reply within 24 hours on business days. Our brew method pages, starter packs and guides also take the guesswork out of choosing coffee, a grinder or a brewer.
Do you offer coffee for offices and cafés?
Yes. We supply specialty coffee to offices, cafés and restaurants, with coffee subscription, wholesale beans and custom corporate gifts. Take a look at our B2B page and request a quote.
Do you have coffee for both filter and espresso?
Yes. The brew method pages show coffees that suit each method, from AeroPress to espresso machine. If you want a single bag for everything, an omniroast works for both.
How does the coffee subscription work?
Choose The Usual Subscription (a favourite from our permanent range at a lower price) or The Holy Sip-scription (curated packs of 2 to 6 bags, Everyday Sip or Unlimited Sip). Pick delivery every 2 or 4 weeks. You can skip, pause or cancel in your account with no minimum term, as long as you make the change before 23:59 the day before your renewal date. Subscriptions with the same rhythm arrive in one package.
Do you sell decaf or low caf coffee?
Yes. Our decaf collection has specialty decaf for filter and espresso. If you want something in between, COFFEE PLANT's LOW series is low caf, with reduced caffeine and fruity flavour. In The Holy Sip-scription, choose Customize and we put one decaf bag in every package.
How much is shipping, and how fast is delivery?
Shipping is free on orders over 399 SEK with PostNord Home Small Prio (formerly Varubrev, delivered to your mailbox or at your door) or DHL Service Point. For smaller orders the shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay. We usually pack orders within 24 hours on business days, and delivery within Sweden takes 1 to 2 business days (Norrland and Gotland can take a day or two longer). You can pay by card, Swish, Klarna, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Can I give coffee as a gift?
Of course. Try a coffee set, a starter pack, a gift card or a subscription. For a subscription, just enter the recipient's address at checkout.
