Born in Paris in 2016. Founded by Alexis Gagnaire, Tanat sources coffee directly from producers and roasts every profile with precision and care.
Tanat
Tanat was born in Paris in 2016, founded by Alexis Gagnaire after a coffee awakening in London. He came home surprised by how little was known about specialty coffee in France, so together with his business partner he set out to change that, travelling to Colombia to learn the entire supply chain from farm to cup. Today Tanat roasts in its own Parisian workshop, working directly with the producers behind every lot.

Coffee, People, Planet
At Tanat, innovation only matters if it respects what counts: the coffee, the people who grow it, and the planet. Every lot is sourced directly from farms and cooperatives the team has known for years, chosen for a genuine terroir and careful processing. It is a philosophy built on trust and traceability, whether that means responsible packaging or a simple refusal to ever use pods.
The Art of the Roast
For Tanat, roasting means listening to what each coffee has to say. Every profile is treated like a living thing, calibrated and tasted again and again until the balance between aroma, structure and depth feels right. Founder Alexis Gagnaire brings a competitive edge to the craft too, with podium finishes at the AeroPress Championship and the French Coffee Roasting Championship. Many of their lots are washed or natural, so you can pick a clean or a fruity cup to suit your mood.
