The story:
Our partners at DAK secured Blackberry Dust, a late-harvest natural Ethiopian. It comes from Buku Abel Washing Station in Guji, where around 400 smallholders grow heirloom varieties between 1900 and 2100 MASL. Ripe cherries are sorted the day they arrive and dried on raised beds, turned regularly, to build sweetness. It is one of DAK's bestsellers.

The taste:
Ripe blackberry leads, with wild strawberry and a spoonful of blueberry yoghurt behind it. The cup is fruity and sweet, with a soft, creamy finish that rounds everything off. It tastes like a bowl of summer berries with a swirl of yoghurt on top, juicy without being sharp, and easy to love even if you are new to natural Ethiopians.

The feeling:
Brew it in a Clever Dripper or V60 and keep the agitation low, as Ethiopian beans are brittle and create fines. This is for anyone who wants a fruity, crowd-pleasing filter coffee with plenty of sweetness. If you prefer roasty or nutty profiles, look elsewhere. If you want your morning to taste like berries and yoghurt, this is the bag to grab.
