Which Coffee for a Clever Dripper?

Full immersion lifts sweetness and body, which suits coffees with ripe fruit and a soft landing. Fruit from our partners at HAYB makes a rounder cup here with nectarine and deep sweetness, Brewlab Daily from COFFEELAB gives smooth chocolate and gentle nuttiness, and Very Berry from COFFEE PLANT brings strawberry, raspberry and apricot.

  • Foolproof Consistency

The immersion-style steep ensures a perfectly balanced extraction with every single brew.

  • Universal Compatibility

Designed to showcase our entire filter range, from bright acids to deep sweetness.

  • Effortless Workflow

A simple "set and forget" method that fits perfectly into a busy Nordic morning routine.

Why the Clever Is Hard to Mess Up

The valve keeps the coffee steeping until you place the dripper on your mug, so timing is in your hands and no fancy pouring is needed. Pour the water in first, then add the coffee on top. That keeps the grounds from clogging the filter and gives a faster, more even drawdown.

Brewing Notes for the Clever

Use 20 g of coffee and 300 g of water at about 94°C. Steep for 2 minutes, stir, wait another 30 seconds, then place it on your mug. The drawdown takes about 45 to 60 seconds. Stock up on large Clever Dripper paper filters and rinse them first. The Clever Dripper Large is a solid place to start.
