Which Coffee for a Chemex?

The thick Chemex filter strips out oils and sediment, so washed, light-roasted coffees with floral and fruity notes come through crystal clear. Sie Przelewa Bloom from our partners at HAYB brings peach, citrus and Earl Grey. Brewlab Floral from COFFEELAB is a tea-like Ethiopian heirloom with jasmine, and FLOW Blossom from COFFEE PLANT adds violet and green tea.

Pro Tip: Grind Medium-Coarse

Go medium-coarse so the water flows steadily through the thick filter. If the brew drags, grind a touch coarser. Keep the pour slow and do not block the air channel between filter and carafe. The Chemex quick start guide covers the rest, and the Classic Chemex 6 cups is waiting in our gear range. Patience pays off with a crystal-clear finish.
